Vote on March 1

The Oklahoma City Council is critical in sustaining the positive momentum in our community. Half of the city council seats will be up for election on March 1. It is vital the business community's voice be heard and that we elect leaders who share our vision for Oklahoma City. Those elected will make decisions on the implementation of MAPS 3 and we need elected officials who will continue the project as voted on by the citizens of Oklahoma City. These next few years are crucial in our cities' history and we must elect representatives who want to keep our momentum going.

Take time to educate yourself on the candidates in order to make informed voting decisions. Please visit the candidates' websites and research their views on what direction they want to take Oklahoma City. In city elections, turnout can be low so every vote is critical. The last day to request for an absentee ballot by mail is Wednesday, Feb. 23. Early voting will be held Friday, Feb. 25 and Monday, Feb. 28 at each County Election Board. For more information on voting please visit your counties' Election Board website: Oklahoma County Election Board, Canadian County Election Board and Cleveland County Election Board.

Greater Grads Career Fair: March 1

Oklahoma City is in the midst of outstanding growth and momentum, but to keep the positive accolades coming we must retain our college students. In its sixth year, the Greater Grads Career Fair aims to do just that. College students will talk one-on-one with Oklahoma companies on Tuesday, March 1 from 12 to 4:30 p.m., at the Cox Convention Center, 1 Myriad Gardens.

Last year, nearly 100 Oklahoma employers and 1,000 college students attended. Booths are still available for $400 and there are special discounts for non-profits and government entities. Whether you are looking to fill full-time positions or trying to find qualified interns, the Greater Grads Career Fair is the place to find Oklahoma's most motivated college students. Visit www.GreaterGrads.com for more information and to see our 2010 Greater Grads video. Special thanks to Greater Grads Benefactors: Chesapeake Energy Corporation, Devon Energy Corporation, OGE Energy Corp., and Sandridge Energy, Inc.
